I passed out during women's gymnastics all-around finals last night, which is one of the only sports I actually watch during the Olympics (along with swimming). 8( Apparently, Nastia Liukin (U.S.) beat Shawn Johnson (also U.S.) by six tenths of a point! It was a little surprising for me; Shawn started out with a higher potential score, but Nastia's previous scores throughout the competition were higher than Shawn's. I was a little worried, because they neglected to mention anything about China beforehand, and China's gymnastics team beat the U.S. team; so, it would've have surprised me if one of China's participants snuck up out of nowhere and beat one of the U.S. girls, but the U.S. pulled through. 8] Medals: Nastia Liukin (U.S.) Gold, Shawn Johnson (U.S.) Silver, Yilin Yang (China) Bronze.
Luckily, they're doing a recap tonight at eight. 8]
&& Michael Phelps is going for his seventh gold medal tonight, which is a tie for the most amount of gold medals won at any one Olympics.
EDIT: HE WON! I don't know how he did it, but he did it! Michael Phelps won first place by one one-hundredth of a second! This is his seventh gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olypmics—a tie for the most amount of gold medals won at any one Olympics. He still has one relay left, which gives him the potential to win an eighth gold medal, thus setting a new record!
Do you have a green thumb?
Haha, not so much. >< I like plants, though! I mean... I wish I had a green thumb. XD Most of the plants at my house die within a few weeks and such... It's a bit depressing. ;.;
This question reminds me of Demetri Martin. >D
What game are you really good at?
That awful game known as "manipulation." >< I'm super good at getting people to tell me what I want to know... it's a dark, dark gift, which I do try to use responsibly! Or something...
What does your name mean and why did your parents choose it for you?
Submitted by mommy2two.
"Tamisa" means moon in the Thai language. Apparently when I was born I was a really pale baby with a round face. (Now, I'm tanner and have an oval face...weirddd.) My nickname "Mook[ie]" means pearl...see the similarities? :)
I remember the days when people on my Livejournal friends list were registering these babies like crazy. And now only a handful of them update, including me :(
KEEPING SEVERAL JOURNALS IS SO HARD. And so hard to let go, especially if they have an awesome name. Like renegade :3
What do you absolutely refuse to eat?
Feces, grime, filth, and disgustingly putrid, sweet food. ;(
My Vox is dying...
What other names did your parents consider for you?
March. I was born in the month of March, and my mom loves Little Women by Louisa May Alcott (which I'm still trying to figure out...I remember trying to read all however many hundred pages of that book and not being able to snooze).
I am SO glad she ended up not choosing that name.
Anyways, I've mostly been bumming around watching Scrubs and listening to music all day long. Oh, and I can't forget playing Solitaire/Spider Solitaire. (I'm improving!) I've been listening to a lot of Joshua Radin lately, and I have to give mad props to his latest album. A+++ for anyone who likes easy listening, acoustic music. I've also been playing Damien Rice's 9 Crimes on loop, thanks to Desiree. Pretty song, but chillingly haunting. (Is chillingly a word?!)
This was my attempt at an actual entry here on Vox. Did I pass?
What is the one saying that your parents said to you that you absolutely hate?

"You have too much fun."
Lawl. Whatevs, parents, if you call going out once a month too much fun!
I seriously cannot wait until college so I don't have to hear that for a year :)
I'm getting lazy in updating this thing @__@
I just don't fucking get it.
And yeah, I can't believe how many moods I've been through this year, and it's only the first half. This is the year of serious mood swings....seriously the year I've been most depressed, the year I've been the happiest, and the year where I've just gotten sicker of a whole lot of things. It's like a never-ending cycle, and I don't even know if I can take the low parts anymore.
What will be your famous last words?

"Oops."
Did you order Girl Scout cookies this year? What kind?
Uh, YES, I did. I will always love the simple shortbread cookies. They thrill me. D: I love them so much that I ate half the box the first few days. Then someone tried to finish them off before me, but I beat them to it. Hey, if it only comes once a year -- I don't care how much of them I eat! The trick is to eat so much of them until you get sick, then you won't even want them again until next year anyway.
This is the first time I've posted on Vox in ages, I know. I rearranged some stuff, added some stuff, and changed the layout. Hello, cute panda!
I think this place needs some more pictures. I should probably get on that sometime.
